In Bravo’s fifth installment of the hit culinary series “Top Chef 3 Miami,” some of the most renowned Hispanic TV personalities from Telemundo and mun2 will be the prime guests at a “Latin Lunch” episode (Wednesday, July 18 at 10 p.m. ET/PT).
In the elimination challenge filmed at the mansion of Telemundo’s novela “Dame Chocolate” (7pm/6 CT), the remaining “Top Chef 3 Miami” chef’testants’ must create an authentic Latin meal to cater and delight the exquisite and refined taste of Telemundo’s stars Maria Antonieta Collins and José Díaz-Balart (“Cada Día”), María Celeste Arrarás (“Al Rojo Vivo”), novela stars Natallia Streignard (“La Tormenta”), Génesis Rodriguez (“Dame Chocolate”) and Kristina Lilley (“Dame Chocolate”), and mun2’s Renato López (“Vivo,” Have you Cine?”). Head Judge/Chef Tom Colicchio adds to the pressure with a surprise twist. Maria Frumkin (Chef and owner of Miami’s Duo and French Bakery Café) serves as this week’s special guest judge.
For those Spanish-language viewers who want to learn more recipes in their own language, Telemundo has created a “Top Chef” weekly cooking segment on the network’s morning show “Cada Día.” This segment is hosted by “Top Chef” season two contestant, Carlos Fernández, a bilingual Miami-based chef of Cuban descent, who will prepare the prior week’s “Top Chef 3 Miami” winning recipe and comment on the episode. Fernandez is also featured in a weekly cooking section on www.YahooTelemundo.com entitled “Sabrosazón,” a Spanish-language version of the “Miami Spice: Hot Recipes with Latin Flavor” series, where he will prepare Latin dishes from various regions.
