Telemundo named official Hispanic Market partner of The Weather Company.

Telemundo Media announced an official partnership with The Weather Company (Weather), also part of the NBCUniversal family.

The partnership combines The Weather Company’s vast weather data and content with Telemundo’s passionate audience to create custom experiences for the Hispanic audience. Weather’s local, mobile and social appeal ties seamlessly with Telemundo’s brand essence “Latino Soy/Aqui Estoy” (I am Latino/I am Here).

The first phase of the partnership will include:

o The Weather Company integrating key elements of weather content into the Telemundo experience across its digital properties, such as local forecast info and Weather’s inclusion in Telemundo’s main navigation bar.
o Telemundo selling advertising, including multiscreen sponsorships, across Weather’s Spanish-language digital properties, including espanol.weather.com and on The Weather Channel domestic apps for mobile and tablet when the user chooses Spanish as their primary language.

Additional partnership elements will include integrating weather products such as alerts, as well as custom video content across the digital properties.
