Telemundo ‘Noticiero Nacional: Primera Hora’.

Telemundo will inform Spanish-language viewers earlier in the morning with the new “Noticiero Nacional: Primera Hora” hosted by award-winning journalist José Díaz-Balart at 6AM (ET\PT), followed by “Cada Día con María Antonieta” in its new 6:30-9AM (ET\PT) timeslot.
Hosted by renowned journalist José Díaz-Balart, this new half-hour newscast will offer the latest national and international news, focusing on the most important topics for the Hispanic community, including weather and sports. “Noticiero Nacional: Primera Hora” is the best alternative for Spanish-language viewers to begin each morning well-informed.
Award-winning journalist José Díaz-Balart, who has recently anchored the news for the network’s “Cada día con María Antonieta,” is also the Network’s National Director of “Enfoque,” Telemundo’s public affairs program. Diaz-Balart was the first journalist in the United States to anchor both a daily Spanish and English language newscast simultaneously. He’s been awarded two Emmy awards and received nominations for two others. He was part of the WTVJ team awarded the George Foster Peabody Award and the Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award for its coverage of Hurricane Andrew. He also received four Hispanic Excellence in Journalism awards and the Associated Press Award for excellence in reporting.
Also on Telemundo, beginning January 8, the popular morning show “Cada Día con María Antonieta” moves to its new 6:30AM (ET\PT) timeslot. Viewers can now enjoy the company of one of their most beloved television personalities, Maria Antonieta Collins, and her team composed of Ilia Calderón, Poncho de Anda, Mary Gamarra and don Julio “El Vecino” (The Neighbor) earlier in the day. “Cada Dia con Maria Antonieta” helps viewers take control of their mornings with useful information they can use to start the day on the right foot, with segments including health, entertainment, finances, cooking, fashion, immigration, weather and sports.
Maria Antonieta is well known for her radiant personality and charisma. Throughout more than three decades of professional experience, she has received several prestigious awards for her work including the Emmy and Edward Murrow Awards, among others. In addition to her work as a television journalist, María Antonieta is also a distinguished author who has published several successful books nationwide.
