Telemundo Numero Uno En Miami.

Telemundo’s Miami station WSCV-TV Channel 51 once again ranked as the #1 station in primetime – English or Spanish – among the all important adult 18-49 demographic in the latest November 2001 NSI sweep period (11/1/01-11/28/01). WSCV-TV’S victory in November gives WSCV a “clean sweep” of all major rating measurement periods in 2001 – February, May and November.

WSCV-TV delivered a 5.3 adult 18-49 rating in the critical primetime daypart (M-F 8:00P-11:00P), an increase of 13% compared to a year ago. WSCV-TV’s outstanding ratings performance in the current sweep was driven in part by TELEMUNDO’s latest novela sensations “Pedro el Escamoso” (M-F 8:00P-9:00P) and “Uga Uga” (M-F 9:00P-10:00P), each ranking #1 in their respective time periods. “Pedro el Escamoso” achieved a sensational 6.2 adult 18-49 rating, beating high-profile shows such as “Survivor: Africa” and “That 70’s Show.” “Uga Uga” delivered a 5.7 adult 18-49 rating, outperforming the likes of “The West Wing,” “Ally McBeal,” “CSI” and nearly doubling ratings of competitor Univision.

“It is an incredible accomplishment for Telemundo to have achieved this ratings success in a market as large and diverse as Miami” said Luis Fernández- Rocha, Vice President and General Manager of the station. “Not only is it extremely rewarding to achieve our tremendous ratings increase, but it is also great to know that we are satisfying the viewing needs of our audience.”
