Telemundo: Over 1 Million Votes – Alexis Is Saved Once Again.

Almost one and a half million viewers (1,347,864) voted to decide who should stay and who should go this week in “Protagonistas de la Música.” Alexis, who was once again nominated to leave by his peers, faced Felipe, who got the lowest score in the talent competition. After an emotion-packed Cara a Cara (Face-off) and an energizing musical performance, the audience voted via phone and the internet on Terra.com, deciding that Alexis, yet again, will remain in the competition “Protagonistas de la Música.”
With only three weeks on the air, this new reality show from Telemundo has surpassed the amount of voters for “Protagonistas de Novela” – the network’s 1st reality show – by 50% during its third week (450,827 votes).
“We are extremely happy that our audience is exercising their right to vote and will choose who their next Latin music star,” said Manuel Martínez, Executive Vice President of Programming and Production for Telemundo.
Things heat up even more on “Protagonistas de la Música” (M-F 8PM ET\PT), now that Alexis, protected by the viewers but rejected by his peers, feels stronger than ever and remains in the battle to win a recording contract from Sony Discos.
