Telemundo Premier Of ‘George of the jungle’ Ratings Hit.

Telemundo’s “Wonderful World of Disney” was viewed by over 1.2 million viewers this past Saturday (11/3/01) with the premiere presentation of “George of the Jungle” (7PM-9PM ET\PT). The movie increased adult 18-49 ratings by an amazing 129% – that is, an additional 315,000 viewers – compared to the prior month’s time period performance. Compared to last November 2000, “George of the Jungle” boosted adult 18-49 ratings by 60%. In fact, Telemundo out-delivered competitor Univision in the time period among the coveted male 18-34 demographic. Telemundo is the exclusive Spanish-language network for the Wonderful World of Disney.
Telemundo concluded the first week of the November 2001 sweep period (10/29-11/25/01) posting rating increases in all key dayparts compared to the prior month.

In weekday primetime, Telemundo’s latest novela hit “Pedro El Escamoso” (8PM-9PM ET\PT) continued on a ratings rise during the first week of sweeps increasing the time period performance by 15% among adults 18-49, compared to just one month ago.
In other key dayparts, Telemundo’s court show dramas (M-F 2PM-4PM ET\PT) are up 15% compared to the prior month; while “Laura” (M-F 4PM-5PM ET\PT) and “Ocurrió Así” (M-F 5PM-6PM ET\PT) continue their successful runs with a rise in adult 18-49 ratings of 12% and 9%, respectively, from October ’01.
