Telemundo Deportes wraps up a historic NFL season with its new announce team — Cantú as the new lead NFL analyst and Gurwitz as play-by-play announcer. The 2022 NFL Kickoff Game marked Gurwitz’ official fútbol to football cros

sover as he went on to deliver coverage of both sports, highlighted by Thanksgiving Day when he called Patriot-Vikings from Doha, after providing pre- and post-game coverage for all four FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ matches earlier in the day.

Last year, the network’s Spanish-language coverage of the Super Bowl LIV made its mark as the first Super Bowl to air in a Spanish broadcast network, the most-watched NFL game in Spanish-language history and the decade’s highest-rated Spanish-language non-soccer sporting event. Universo and Telemundo had the top two Spanish language TV games this NFL season among total viewers (11-24-22 Patriots vs Vikings; 10-16-22 Cowboys vs Eagles).
