Telemundo Scores With ‘La Venganza’.

“La Venganza” (The Revenge) a Telemundo production starring Gabriela Spanic and José Angel Llamas launched on November 4, 2002 at 9PM (ET/PT) receiving the highest ratings (NHTI) for Adults 18-49 during its premiere week. “La Venganza” is a soap opera filled with action, passion, drama and mystery, which takes place in a world of mysticism, intrigue and ruled by the Mafia.
“This novela has caught on like wildfire, and we’re thrilled that our viewers have been so readily captivated by its action and suspense,” said Manuel Martinez, Executive Vice President of Programming and Production for Telemundo. “This passionate storyline, which dabbles in the supernatural, is a surprise-a-minute; one which we are sure will keep audiences riveted to their television sets every minute of every night.”
Compared to other ratings for the premiere week of a novela, Telemundo’s “La Venganza,” achieved an average rating of 2.7 its first week in the A18-49 primetime (M-F 9PM) slightly higher than the successful run of ‘¿Por Que Diablos?’ during the same time slot*.
