Telemundo Scores With Premiers Of Original Programs.

The premieres of “La Cenicienta” (Monday, September 8 at 7PM ET\PT) and “Amor Descarado” (Monday, September 8 at 8PM ET\PT) delivered a significant increase in Telemundo’s prime-time ratings compared to the July 2003 time period.

“La Cenicienta” – For the key demographic, Adults 18-49, the NHTI* rating was a 2.3, an increase of 77% compared to 7PM Monday during July 2003. The program was the highest rated Telemundo premiere for this time slot since September 2001.

“Amor Descarado” – The romantic comedy scored an impressive ratings increase on Telemundo among Adults 18-49, with a 105% gain compared to 8PM Monday during July 2003.

In key markets both shows demonstrated their appeal to the US Hispanic audience:

The “Amor Descarado” premiere ranked ranked #1 for an 8PM program launch with the demographic groups Adults 18-49 and Men 18-49 in Los Angeles on KVEA-channel 52.

In Miami, WSCV-channel 51, “La Cenicienta” posted an increase of 64% from 7-8PM versus July 2003, among households. Even more noteworthy, “Amor Descarado” achieved an increase of 78% percent among households from 8-9pm versus July 2003.

In Chicago, WSNS-channel 44, the premiere of “La Cenicienta” delivered strong ratings, improving 58% over the July 2003 movies, and up an impressive 192% compared to May 2003 in the same time period among households. “Amor Descarado’s” premiere improved the time period’s ratings 65% over the July 2003 movies, and was up 132% over May 2003, among households.

On KVDA-channel 60, Telemundo’s San Antonio station, the premiere of “La Cenicienta” achieved a 244% increase when compared to May and July 2003, during the same time slot.
