Telemundo Communications Group announced results for the Rumbo Al Mundial: Mexico vs. Honduras soccer match which aired on Wednesday, 8/20/08. According to Nielsen Media Research data, Rumbo Al Mundial: Mexico vs. Honduras delivered a record breaking 2,037,000 impressions for Persons 18-49, making it the highest rated telecast ever in NTI history. With seven games into the year, Rumbo Al Mundial has reached 6.2 million Persons 18-49 and 10.2 million Persons 2 plus. *

The Mexico vs. Honduras match also scored well among Persons 2 plus with 2.8 million impressions and broke Rumbo Al Mundial records in the Men 18-49 (1,531,000) and Persons 18-34 (1,282,000) deliveries.

In Los Angeles, the game ranked #1 among Adults 18-34 (6.2), Adults 18-49 (5.8), Adults 21-34 (7.0) and Adults 25-54 (5.5) across all stations in the market for the time period. In Houston and Dallas, the Mexico vs. Honduras game ranked #2 among all stations in the market in the time period among Adults 18-49 (6.7 and 4.6, respectively), second only to NBC’s Olympic Coverage.
