Telemundo Stations & Verizon Wireless launch sports report – Domina La Accion

Telemundo announced a partnership with Verizon Wireless on a 360° multi-platform local sports report sponsorship. Verizon Wireless “Domina La Accion” Sports Report, a branded sports segment that will air during local early and late newscasts featuring video highlights as well as local, national and international sports news and scores, launches today. Telemundo will promote the sports report partnership with a dedicated multi-platform campaign comprising on-air, online, mobile and grassroots event elements.

The campaign will run in key major markets on KVEA in Los Angeles, WNJU in New York, WSCV in Miami, KTMD in Houston, KXTX in Dallas, WSNS in Chicago, KTAZ in Phoenix and KSTS in San Francisco. The Verizon Wireless “Domina La Accion” Sports Report will air twice a day on weekdays during the early and late news broadcasts in participating markets.

“We are excited to partner with Verizon Wireless to bring the excitement and passion of sports to our viewers,” said Enrique Perez, senior vice president, local sales and marketing, Telemundo.  “Building on the strength of our local sports coverage, Telemundo and Verizon are committed to delivering this content in an engaging interactive experience to immerse fans in the game.”

The on-air segments extend seamlessly to the online user experience. An on-air call-to-action campaign will drive users to Telemundo stations websites and Verizon Wireless’s “Fan of the Week” section to submit photos and videos of fans wearing NFL gear. Fan photos and videos will be featured during the on-air segments, as well as in an online gallery.

Mobile content is optimized for smartphone users, featuring enhanced graphical elements and video streams. Content will be available via Telemundo’s “A La Mano” localized mobile digital apps (available for iPhone, Android and Blackberry). Additionally, there will be Facebook integration of the sponsored sports segments and dedicated tweets on the local station Twitter feeds.
