Telemundo unveils cast for Diario de un Gigoló, slated for 2022

Telemundo announced the cast for its new mini-series, Diario de un Gigoló (Diary of a Gigolo), a 10-episode provocative drama slated to premiere in 2022. The thriller which is currently filming in Argentina, stars Spanish actor Jesús Castro (La Reina del Sur, Brigada Costa del Sol,) Victoria White (Buscando a Frida,) Fabiola Campomanes (El Juego de las Llaves, Mi corazón es Tuyo,) Francisco Denis (Narcos, Jack Ryan,) Begoña Narváez (La Fan, From Prada to Nada,) Eugenia Tobal (Sos Mi Hombre, Los Únicos,) Alosian Vivancos (Lord of the Skies, Club de Cuervos) and the Oscar-nominated actress, Adriana Barraza (Bingo Hell, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, Babel, We Can be Heroes). Diario de un Gigoló is an enthralling mini-series that tells the story of Emanuel (Castro), a male escort living a life of freedom and luxury. After enduring violence and poverty during his childhood years, Emanuel forges a strong bond with Minou (Barraza,) a businesswoman who takes him under her wing and helps him become a sought-after male escort. Fate changes when Ana (Campomanes,) one if his most frequent clients, offers him a tough job – to seduce her daughter Julia to help build her self-esteem. Emanuel unexpectedly gets romantically involved with Julia, making him doubt his life choices. Consumed by jealousy for the relationship she promoted, Ana threatens to reveal the truth about Emanuel to her daughter to end their romance. Blinded by his love for Julia, Emanuel fails to see the dangers impacting their uncertain future together and his complicated life as a gigolo.
Created by Sebastián Ortega, Diario de un Gigoló was written by Silvina Fredjkes and Alejandro Quesada and is directed by Mariano Ardanaz. Marcos Santana, Sebastián Ortega, Pablo Flores, Juan Ponce and Pablo Cullell serve as executive producers.
