Telemundo Upfront 2006-2007.

Telemundo announced its 2006-2007 programming line-up at its Upfront presentation held at New York City’s Fredrick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center. The Upfront presentation was hosted by Don Browne, President, Telemundo, and Steve Mandala, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Telemundo and NBC Universal Networks.

Strongly anchored on a solid development and production strategy led by an experienced team, Telemundo welcomes the upcoming season with innovative platforms and tools to provide advertisers with a better opportunity to tap into the coveted U.S. Hispanic market.

“ur commitment to creating original, relevant content for the U.S. Hispanic community, together with the right architecture and in-house expertise, has allowed us to deliver on last year’s pledge to perform,” said Browne. “With the best talent in the business both on-air and behind-the-scenes, our next season is looking stronger and better than ever, setting higher standards for the future of Spanish-language television.”

Mandala added, “Armed with the best development, programming, and production team along with a relentless commitment to continue serving the U.S. Hispanic community with relevant programming, we’re helping our clients reach viewers through many platforms like no other network can. Not only have we brought advertisers the results they want, but we’re also looking forward to an incredible pipeline and our outlook has never been brighter.”

This year Telemundo joined Nielsen Media Research to include the network in Nielsen’s National Television Index (NTI) making it easier and more efficient for clients to evaluate audience delivery side-by-side with English-language networks. In addition, the network shared with advertisers a thorough study about the effectiveness of Spanish-language advertising versus English, concluding Spanish-language television is the best way to reach Hispanics.

Telemundo’s new Digital Media division also offers advertisers innovative online and on-the-go platforms to reach U.S. Hispanics. Being the #1 content-rich U.S. Hispanic Internet site for the fastest-growing market in America, Yahoo! Telemundo (www.telemundo.yahoo.com) combines Telemundo’s successful original programming with creative solutions and Yahoo!’s advertising technologies, to create uniquely integrated media campaigns that will enable advertisers to reach U.S. Hispanics all in one place.

In addition, Telemundo will offer more than 20 multi-media platforms, involving Telemundo, mun2 and the new Yahoo! Telemundo. These platforms are focused on the nework’s novelas, sports and specials, and mun2′ music and lifestyle programming.
