Telemundo will broadcast The Pope’s Viaje de Esperanza.

Telemundo announced “Viaje de Esperanza,” (“Voyage of Hope”) its special coverage of the first visit of Pope Benedict XVI to Cuba and Mexico from Friday, March 23 to Thursday, March 29, with coverage from the network news shows “Noticiero Telemundo,” “Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste,” and “Levántate,” which will broadcast the most important moments of the papal visit.
The coverage of this historic event –this is the first time that Pope Benedict XVI travels to Cuba and Mexico since he was ordained – will be presented by “Noticiero Telemundo” anchor José Díaz-Balart, “Al Rojo Vivo” host Maria Celeste Arrarás, “Levántate” co-presenter Azucena Cierco, and Telemundo reporter Rogelio Mora-Tagle, who will cover this historic visit step by step.
“Viaje de Esperanza,” (“Voyage of Hope”) will present the testimonies and reactions of parishioners in Cuba and Mexico as well as expert analysis on the effect of this historic visit scheduled by the Pope to revitalize the catholic communities of these countries.
The televised coverage will be complemented by an intense digital campaign on Telemundo.com and the Facebook and Twitter sections of “Noticiero Telemundo”, including reports from Rogelio Mora-Tagle, who will document and share on social media his experience traveling on the papal plane.
