Telemundo.com launches 2006 Billboard Latin Music channel.

Telemundo announced the launch of a Billboard channel within www.telemundo.com. This interactive area will give visitors all the latest news and information regarding the 2006 Billboard Latin Music Awards, complete with videos, polls, and artist interviews. Fans can also participate in the “Viewers Choice Award” by voting for their favorite star online. The 2006 Billboard Latin Music Awards will be broadcast live by Telemundo from Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, on Thursday, April 27 at 7PM (6pm/c).

Telemundo’s Billboard site will feature comprehensive coverage of the awards show, with key features before and after the celebration. Those preceding the event include:

In addition, Telemundo is also urging viewers to make their vote count by visiting www.telemundo.com and help select their favorite Latin artist as the winner of the “Viewer’s Choice Award”, which is based solely on fans votes compiled on Telemundo’s website, acting as a testament to an artist’s popularity. Visitors to the site will be able to pick from a gallery of all nominees and have until April 27 at 12PM Eastern to make their selection. The winner will be announced during the live show.
