TELEMUNDO’S 2025-26 UPFRONT

NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises introduced its Upfronts programming slate for the 2025-26 season, showcasing its vision for shaping the future of Spanish-language media with multiplatform content created by Latinos, for Latinos.

Telemundo is increasing its commitment to live content, with over 70 percent of its lineup airing live—nearly 5,000 hours in 2025-26—solidifying its position as the home of live in Spanish-language television. Given Latinos over-index on live TV consumption across genres, Telemundo is leveraging live programming as a cultural connector and a vehicle for brands and advertisers to authentically reach U.S. Latinos—offering content that unites families, fuels fandom, informs, bridges generations, and sparks meaningful conversations.

The network is gearing up for the exclusive Spanish-language coverage of the FIFA World Cup 26™, anticipated to be the largest sporting event in the world and the “best in history.”  For the first time ever, the tournament will feature an expanded format across 16 cities in the US, Mexico, and Canada including 48 teams, 39 days of competition and 104 matches played in favorable time zones. With soccer ranking as the fastest growing sport in America fueled by Latinos, Telemundo, along with Universo and Peacock, will deliver the most extensive Spanish-language coverage ever across all its platforms. The historic event will mark a transformative moment for the growth of the sport and Telemundo’s influence, with live broadcasts of every match, coverage of key moments, and the unparalleled energy and excitement of its award-winning sports commentators and experts, “en Español.”

From the FIFA World Cup 26™, Super Bowl LX, and Miss Universe to the Billboard Latin Music Awards, breaking news, and fan-favorite reality TV franchises La Casa de los Famosos and La Isla: Desafío Extremo, Telemundo’s upcoming live content creates real-time connections across screens and platforms.  Elevating the scripted slate, this season the network also offers an expanded lineup of Super Series including the El Señor de los Cielos spinoff, Dinastía Casillas and the new crime thriller drama Lobo (Working Title), as well as other scripted titles such as Turkish series Bahar and Leyla—adding up to an impressive 600 hours of scripted entertainment for the season. In addition, Telemundo Studios is developing and producing dozens of hours for streaming partners in the US and Latin America including Peacock, Netflix, Amazon, Disney, and MAX.

We are thrilled to unveil an unprecedented programming slate that will keep Latino audiences engaged across all platforms. Our viewers have responded by making Telemundo their preferred destination for entertainment, news and sports in Spanish in linear and streaming, and we will continue to make the necessary investments to deliver unparalleled reach. From the coverage of the historic FIFA World Cup 26™ to our compelling realities, unforgettable dramas and essential breaking news, we are upping our commitment to serve Latinos with relevant content that attracts audiences at scale, no matter where or when they want to watch it. As we continue to innovate and double down on live programming and contemporary narratives, we remain dedicated to delivering premium stories and franchises that allow our clients to connect with this vibrant and growing community.” Luis Fernández, Chairman, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises

Telemundo, the #1 producer of Spanish language scripted content in the US, leverages deep audience insights as the only network producing content specifically for Latinos in the US, by Latinos. In the first quarter of 2025, the network continued to dominate as the most-watched Spanish-language broadcast network in Monday-Sunday prime in total viewers (959,000), and most-watched network in weekday afternoons (1-5pm) among adults 18-49 (126,000) and total viewers (542,000), according to Nielsen. On the digital front, Telemundo ranked as the #1 Spanish-language broadcast network in total digital audience, delivering 12.9 million average monthly unique users in Q1 2025, according to Comscore Media Metrix. The network solidified its #1 status ranking with the top Spanish-language broadcast network website and mobile app, while dominating as the #1 Spanish-language broadcast network on TikTok and YouTube, per Comscore.

At its integrated Upfronts presentation at Radio City Music Hall with NBCUniversal, Telemundo will showcase the scale of the Hispanic opportunity through diverse content and multiplatform experiences that continue to shape the mainstream narrative of Spanish-language media. Through fan-favorite shows available beyond linear on Peacock, the Telemundo app and its newly launched FAST channels, Telemundo connects with highly engaged Hispanic “super streamers” through premium live and on-demand content reaching diverse audiences.

“This is a tremendous year for NBCUniversal, fueled by the greatest content slate any media company has ever had in both English and Spanish. With the FIFA World Cup next Summer and Telemundo’s growing slate of live programming, we have an incredible opportunity to expand our reach to new audiences, deepen our engagement with consumers, and tap into the highly influential Latino community.” Mark Marshall, Chairman, Global Advertising and Partnerships, NBCUniversal

By delivering innovative, multiplatform content Telemundo continues to lead across platforms and key dayparts, powered by its unique partnership with NBCUniversal that provides the best of both worlds—unparalleled reach and scale with Latino viewers in both English and Spanish. Serving the “200%ers” who are 100% American and 100% Hispanic, Telemundo reaches a growing and influential audience, at scale. This deep and enduring connection with its audience continues to strengthen Telemundo’s position as it shapes the next generation of Latino storytelling and drives a new era in Spanish-language media.
