Telemundo’s Clara Rivas Honored @ USHCC.

Clara Rivas, Vice President and General Manager of Telemundo’s KVDA-Ch.60 (San Antonio), was chosen by the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) as this year’s Corporate Hispanic Business Advocate for Region II. The awards were presented during the USHCC’s National Convention & Business Exposition in Phoenix, AZ, last week.

Each year the USHCC recognizes Hispanic chambers and businesses, corporate and government advocates that have attained or contributed to business excellence. The prestigious awards pay tribute to the illustrious achievements and innovations of Hispanic businesses or men and women who have made measurable impact on the economic development of our nation’s communities. Clara was recognized for her excellent work and contributions to the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce during her tenure as Vice President and General Manager of Telemundo’s Denver Station, KMAS-Ch. 24.

“Clara is an experienced and respected leader in the Hispanic community and we’re very proud she’s part of our Telemundo family. She does a remarkable job promoting the growth of our communities and businesses and we’re very happy the USHCC recognized her efforts,” said Ibra Morales, President of Telemundo Television Stations.

“The USHCC is an organization committed to promote and facilitate the success of Hispanic businesses and I’m extremely honored to receive this recognition from them,” said Clara. “Telemundo’s commitment to Hispanic communities has given me the opportunity to help fuel their growth and cohesion and I’m very proud of the results.”
