Telemundo’s Maria Celeste Honored With Hispanic Television Achievement Award.

Telemundo’s Maria Celeste Arraras, Host and Managing Editor of the network’s newsmagazine show, “Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste” (M-F, 5pm/4pm c), was honored with the Hispanic Television Achievement Award from Reed Television Group; publishers of renowned magazines like Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News. The renowned journalist is the first woman to receive this prestigious recognition. The award was presented at Reed’s Third Annual Hispanic Television Summit held today in Miami, FL.
“I feel especially honored to be the first woman recognized with this award,” said Arraras. “Spanish-language television is an invaluable resource for the millions of Hispanics that continue to help build this country and it is very exciting that the general media is recognizing the work we put forth in servicing our community.”
The Hispanic Television Achievement Award is presented yearly to an individual who has contributed to the overall profile of Hispanics on Television. Previous winners include Mario Kreuzberger “Don Francisco” and Telemundo Sport’s personality, Andres Cantor.
