Telemundo’s Primetime Programming Delivers.

With the November ’05 sweeps results in, Telemundo clearly demonstrated the success of its originally-produced primetime programming fall strategy delivering its largest audience in Monday through Friday (M-F) primetime in the last twelve years among adults 18-49 (A18-49), and its largest ever among adults 18-34 (A18-34).
Completing six months of viewership gains, the network’s November results positioned it among both A18-49 and A18-34 as the fastest growing broadcast network regardless of language, and as the only Spanish-language broadcast network with primetime viewership growth both over last month and last year.
Some of the primetime delivery highlights include:
For Adults 18-49, Telemundo’s weekday primetime averaged a 3.3 rating (677,000) and a 23% share of Spanish language broadcast television viewers. The 3.3 rating represents gains of 32% vs. July 2005, 38% vs. May 2005 and 10% vs. November 2004.
For Adults 18-34 Telemundo’s weekday primetime averaged a 3.4 rating (423,000) and a 22% share of Spanish language broadcast television viewers. The 3.4 rating represents increases of 42% vs. July 2005, 55% vs. May 2005 and 21% vs. November 2004.
Telemundo delivered a high-quality primetime audience with 46% of viewers living in households with $40K+ income and 25% in households with $60K plus income compared to 43% and 21% respectively for the market, and 38% and 13% respectively for Univision.
Telemundo delivered a younger audience with 60% of its total audience falling within the coveted 18-49 age break vs. 52% for the market, and 58% for Univision.

Broken down by time period, Telemundo registered the following ratings for its originally-produced primetime shows:
La Tormenta brought the 7PM hour to its strongest A18-49 and A18-34 ratings in over a year. Averaging a 3.3 rating in A18-49, La Tormenta increased plus 22% over last month (2.7) and plus 32% over last year’s time period delivery (2.5). With a 3.4 in the younger A18-34 demo, La Tormenta grew plus 21% compared to last month (2.8) and plus 48% vs. November ’04 (2.3).
El Cuerpo del Deseo continues to improve its performance, delivering its strongest ratings since its premiere and bringing the time period to its highest rating level in well over a year. In November ‘05 Cuerpo achieved a 4.7 rating among A18-49, plus 9% higher than last month’s performance (4.3) and plus 52% above the year ago time period delivery (3.1). Cuerpo’s growth is even more impressive among A18-34. With a 4.7 rating in November ’05, Cuerpo gained plus 7% vs. prior month (4.4) and plus 62% vs. last year (2.9) in the younger demo. Cuerpo is capturing a larger portion of the A18-49 Hispanic audience with a 27 share of Spanish-language broadcast television in Nov’05, 9 share points higher than last year, and a 25 share for A18-34, 10 points higher than Nov’04.
At 9PM Corazon Partido showed growth in its new 30-minute format premiered on November 21st. Averaging a 2.8 A18-49 rating it its first week as a half hour program, Corazon Partido increased plus 17% vs. the prior three-week average (2.4). Among A18-34, Corazon Partido registered a 2.8 rating in its new format, gaining plus 22% compared to the prior three-week average (2.3).
The premiere of Decisiones: Casos Extraordinaros at 9:30PM performed very well as well. Delivering a 2.8 A18-49 rating in its first week, the new show grew the time period plus 75% compared to the prior week (1.6). Averaging a 3.0 in A18-34, the program posted significant gains in the younger demo, increasing the prior week’s delivery (1.3) by plus 131%.
At 10PM Decisiones averaged a 2.9 rating among A18-49, increasing plus 7% over last month (2.7) and marking the time period’s strongest performance in nine months. With a 3.0 rating in A18-34, Decisiones gained plus 11% over last month (2.7) and plus 3% vs. year ago (2.9).
