Telemundo’s ‘Rumbo al Mundial’ sets new highs in NTI.

Telemundo reported today stellar performances for its last two “Rumbo al Mundial” telecasts of the Mexican National Soccer Team.

Telemundo’s “Rumbo al Mundial” telecast of the soccer match between Mexico and Iran broadcasted live on Saturday, June 2nd, positioned Telemundo as the #1 Spanish language network among Men 18-49 and Men 18-34 and as the #3 broadcast network among Males 18-34 across all English and Spanish language networks. Rumbo al Mundial averaged over 1.0 million Adults 18-49 and over 1.4 million total viewers (Persons 2 plus), out delivering Univision’s Sabado Gigante from 8 to 9 pm among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

The Tuesday, June 5th broadcast of the “Rumbo Al Mundial” game between Mexico and Paraguay was the highest-ever delivery in NTI for Telemundo averaging over 1.8 million viewers among Adults 18-49 and reaching 5.4 million total viewers (Persons 2 plus). The vierwership grew every half hour through midnight across all demos, peaking at close to 2.3 million Adults 18-49.

Combined, these two “Rumbo Al Mundial” games reached over 7.2 million total viewers (Persons 2 plus).
