Tellet joins MTV TR3S as VP – Research & Consumer Insight.

Hispanic consumer expert Nancy Tellet has joined MTV Tr3s as Vice President, Research and Consumer Insights, a newly created position, effective June 16th, 2008. She will be responsible for deepening the bilingual network’s understanding of the exploding Latino youth market through a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.

“Nancy’s stellar reputation for anticipating and understanding culturally based consumer behavior in terms of media, lifestyle and brands is unmatched,” said Lucia Ballas-Traynor, Senior Vice President and General Manager, MTV Tr3s. “She will be a tremendous asset to the MTV Tr3s team.”

Tellet joins MTV Tr3s from Siboney USA where she was Vice President, Director Media Services and Strategic Planning and where she pioneered the adoption of Hispanic generations segmentation in 2005. Siboney clients such as Colgate-Palmolive, Milk PEP and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida highly regarded her ability to thoroughly understand their consumer target and in turn, craft messaging platforms and communication plans that reached and engaged the target effectively. Her advertising agency experience also includes stints with Messner, Saatchi and Saatchi’s Conill and J. Walter Thompson working with clients such as MCI, Ford, Toyota, McDonald’s, Kraft, Sears, Procter and Gamble and British Airways.

She is credited with introducing several Hispanic marketing “firsts” including the first sponsorship and integration within a Hispanic reality show (“Los Protagonistas” on Telemundo), the first integrated sponsorship of Univision’s “Enterate” health initiative (TV and internet), and early support for Latino youth media, in any language (language “neutrality”).

“I am excited to be joining MTV Tr3s at such a pivotal time in the channel’s young history. MTV Tr3s is a dominant, multiplatform brand that is an integral part of young Latinos’ unique lifestyle and I look forward to contributing to the network’s continued success,” said Tellet.
