May 11, 2013
Paulo Castro, Chief Executive Officer of Terra, announced that as part of Terra’s strategic plan, Gerardo Adame will lead the company’s operations in the United States. Adame, who is currently General Manager of Terra in Mexico, will add management of the US Hispanic market efforts to his responsibilities. The larger organization will now be in a better position to address challenges that these key markets present.
With more than 25 years of experience and having worked with Terra since its inception, the new general manager replaces Fernando Rodriguez who led the company in the United States for 10 years.
“Terra has made great strides within the U.S. as a result of Fernando Rodriguez’s experience and administration. We would like to recognize Fernando for all that he has done and thank him for his contribution,” said Paulo Castro, CEO of Terra.
Terra’s new structure encompasses a global approach that allows the company to leverage and expand its business endeavors in order to achieve further growth in strategic markets.
“This January, we implemented a new management structure in which Roberto Barroso heads both the Argentina and Chile operations and we are experiencing optimal results globally. Gerardo Adame is an extremely experienced professional and I am sure that he will do an excellent job in the U.S., as he is doing in Mexico,” concluded Castro.
