The InFOCUS Podcast: Stephanie Valencia – Latino Media Network  [PODCAST]

Until June 3, she was known primarily as a social entrepreneur and a national leader at the nexus of politics, technology and leadership development. This includes her role as the co-founder of Equis Research, an organization that is working “to create a better understanding of the ‘Latinx’ electorate” and invests in innovative tactics and approaches to engage Latinx voters, using digital, tech and data tools.

Now, Stephanie Valencia is gaining widespread attention for her role as the co-founder of the newly formed Latino Media Network (LMN). With fellow co-founder Jess Morales Rocketto, LMN attracted some $80 million in investment capital and boasts a board of directors that includes Tom Castro, veteran journalist Maria Elena Salinas, former ImpreMedia head Monica Lozano and even actress and model Eva Longoria.

It’s first act: The purchase of 18 radio stations from TelevisaUnivision — including all of its AMs and FMs in Las Vegas, Fresno and the Rio Grande Valley. What’s LMN’s plan of action? RBR+TVBR Editor-in-Chief got the exclusive scoop from Valencia in this InFOCUS Podcast, presented by dot.FM.
