Time Warner Cable’s Carolina Division launches Telemundo in North & South Carolina.

Time Warner Cable’s Carolina division announced the launch of Telemundo, a U.S. Spanish-language television network, in North Carolina and South Carolina on Friday, February 13, 2009. Telemundo will be available on the most widely distributed digital tier in North Carolina and South Carolina, and Time Warner Cable’s Hispanic tier via Nuestra Tele. The announcement was made today by Brian Kelly, TWC President of Residential Services. “The launch of Telemundo underscores our commitment to expanding our Hispanic offering to our customers,” said Kelly.
Telemundo will launch on channel 188 in the remaining cities throughout the state of South Carolina, as Telemundo is already available on WNXG, Channel 188, in Columbia, South Carolina. Cities and channel placement in North Carolina include: Greensboro, Channel 177; Charlotte, Channel 557; Iredell, Channel 900; Raleigh, Channel 379; and Wilmington, Channel 878. Telemundo will be available to Time Warner Cable basic customers with a digital box and digital customers at no additional cost.
