Top Spending Cable Advertisers 2000-2001.

Spending by the Top 25 cable advertisers in the full 2000/01 television season (October 2000-September 2001) totaled $3.14 billion-an increase of 7.3 percent versus the previous season. According to a Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau ranking based on Competitive Media Reporting data, AOL Time Warner topped the list of 2000/01 cable spenders, followed by General Motors, Procter & Gamble, Philip Morris and AT&T.
Marketers that joined the Top 25 cable advertisers list in 2000/01 after being absent the season before were: Glaxosmithkline, Progressive Corporation, Pepsico and Coca-Cola. Not returning to the Top 25 were Sprint, Ameritrade, McDonald’s and Sears Roebuck.
