In a quest to empower Latina teen girls to build a healthy self-image of mind, body and spirit, Procter & Gamble has gathered some of the hottest Latina celebrity panelists and experts for the first ever Totalmente Latina Tour (TLT). With stops in six major cities across the United States including Chicago, TLT promises to infuse audiences with real-life inspiration and the tools necessary to manage peer pressure, recognize cultural expectations, nurture meaningful relationships and build a positive self-image.
THE TLT FORUM
Designed for today’s Latina teen, the TLT Forum offers a fun-filled and informative experience that encourages girls to learn from each other and collectively build a stronger generation of young women. Female celebrity panelists such as rising Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Lesley Ann Machado of Latin Access, fitness guru Gloria Araya-Quinlan and motivational speakers, who all have their own stories of struggle-and-triumph, will share their secrets about what it takes to be a successful Latina woman in today’s world. Girls will also receive useful tips on how to truly accept themselves and the opportunity to discuss common issues affecting their lives amongst their peers. “Unfortunately, there are still a few cultural barriers which discourage Latina teen girls from realizing their full potential,” stated TLT panelist, Jamie-Lynn Sigler. “I strongly believe that everyone is capable of living their sueños (dreams), but you need to believe in yourself! This is a unique opportunity for Latina girls to interact with their peers, learn from a diverse group of panelists and gain the tools necessary to take their dreams to the next level.”
THE CONCERT
Immediately following the Forum, TLT attendees will be treated to the rhythmic sounds of Latin-inspired live performances from Pilar Montenegro where participants can bailar (dance) to the latest chart topping songs.
THE EXPO
The day concludes at the Expo where attendees can participate in several fun photo opportunities and indulge in “all things beautiful.” Attendees can also receive free beauty tips, makeovers, indulgent massages and free samples from a variety of Procter & Gamble sponsored brands as well as national and local media partners. By the end of September, TLT will have completed its debut tour with stops in Miami, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Antonio with an empowering message of total wellness designed to build a stronger generation of Latina young women.
