Tr3s acquires Divorcio USA From Liberman Broadcasting’s Estrella TV.

Estrella TV has sold its original courtroom series Divorcio USA to Viacom International Media Networks -The Americas U.S. Hispanic network Tr3s, it was announced by Lenard Liberman, CEO of Estrella TV and Andy Weir, Senior Vice President, Content Distribution.
Produced by Liberman Broadcasting’s Estrella TV, Divorcio USA pits married couples who are going through a divorce against one another in court. They battle it out in front of a judge exposing their relationships and sharing their most intimate secrets in a high-energy legal combat. Divorcio USA is part of Estrella TV‚s catalog of original programming which will be offered at NATPE 2013 by the company‚s distribution division, helmed by Weir.
Tr3s has set February 2013 to debut the half-hour series.
“Divorcio USA is an original Estrella TV series that has proven itself with the U.S. Hispanic viewer. With this sale, we are delighted to forge our programming association with MTV Networks‚ Tr3s.,” said Liberman.
Estrella TV has closed a number of series deals in Panama, Nicaragua and Ecuador.
Licensed to FETV in Panama is the series “Milagros.”
Sold to Canal 13 in Nicaragua are the series “Los Chuperamigos”, “Milagros”, “Historias Delirantes” and “El Humor de Hector Suarez.”
In Ecuador, Telerama has licensed the series “A Que No Puedes.”
