TR3S: MTV, MUSICA Y MAS unveils new content at Upfront.

Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más unveiled its new programming lineup at it’s 2011 Upfront event at LAVO in New York City. The event’s overarching message reinforced the importance of producing positive and optimistic content for this new and growing audience. The brand will continue to produce content that aligns with its three maxims: milestones, music and ‘making it’. The announcement included the expansion of the “Quiero Mi” franchise, which will spawn a third property with “Quiero Mi Baby”; and advertisers were given a sneak peak into a slew of additional new properties including the paparazzi-inspired series “Popland”, the reality show “Date My Abuela”, and the biography series “La Escalera”.

“This bilingual/bicultural group now have many marketing names, but whatever you want to call them, we got them and we know them very well!” said Jose Tillan, GM and EVP of Tr3s. “This audience is fundamental to the future of this country and demand to be spoken to in a unique way, and that’s what we do at Tr3s every day through original content that resonates with their unique identity.” He added.

The Tr3s audience wasrepresented onstage with a performance by multi-platinum Latin recording artist Prince Royce. Raised in the Bronx by Dominican parents, Royce thanked the network for their support by dedicating an acoustic performance of “Stand By Me”, and later curating the evening’s playlist.

“Tr3s has supported my music and career since the beginning, even before my #1 records. I want to thank the channel for continuing to celebrate this Latino movement,” said Prince Royce.

Tr3s’ #1 original series “Quiero Mis Quinces” and “Quiero Mi Boda” will continue to deliver colorful quinceaneras and multicultural conflict, as well as a third-spinoff with “Quiero Mi Baby”. The network is slated to produce 70 1-hour episodes of a new paparazzi-inspired daily series with “Popland” and the new reality show “Date My Abuela” (working title) puts the Latino icon of the family front and center. On the digital front, Tr3s announced the launch of three new platforms that include “Our Stage.com”, “Night Finder” and the “Blogger Network.”
