TuTv’S Upfront 2007.
March 23, 2007
TuTv, a Grupo Televisa and Univision Communications Inc. joint venture, unveiled a robust array of Spanish-language targeted programming during its second upfront presentation held at The Spanish Kitchen in Hollywood, last Thursday, April 12.
The upfront event was presided over by TuTv’s President Chris Fager and Televisa Networks’ CEO Bruce Boren, and offered advertisers and distributors an up close look at TuTv’s programming philosophy and vision for the upcoming year.
“TuTv’s business has doubled every year since its launch in 2003 and this year is shaping up the same way,” said Fager. “The fact is that Televisa’s high quality channels are being embraced by Hispanics with the same enthusiasm the audience has shown for Televisa’s broadcast programming, seen in the U.S. on Univision.”
“We at Televisa are continuing to invest in our suite of channels by adding more and more original programming, and one result is our growing North American audience,” commented Boren. “We are delighted by the rapid growth we have experienced and we see that trend continuing.”
Mark Dubas, VP of National Ad Sales, closed the presentation by speaking to the wide variety of sponsorship packages and brand integration opportunities currently available on TuTv’s networks.
The presentation was immediately followed by a VIP party where attendees mingled with Telehit’s hosts Claudio and Odalys, and Bandamax’s host Cynthia Urias. Guests also had the unique opportunity to meet the famed lucha libre wrestling movie icon and De Película’s official image “El Hijo del Santo.”
TuTv is responsible for U.S distribution and ad sales of five network brands in the Spanish-speaking media world: De Película, De Película Clásico, Telehit, Ritmoson and Bandamax.
