‘Únete a la Onda Latina… ¡a Weber!’

Weber-Stephen Products Co. is launching a consumer contest calling for U.S. Hispanics to demonstrate their patriotic spirit and passion for grilling by entering the “Únete a la Onda Latina… ¡a Weber!” grilling contest.

Contestants living in the U.S. can visit http://www.ondalatinaweber.com and submit an original grilling recipe and video demonstration, making a case why they should be chosen to represent their country of heritage and be selected to be a part of Weber’s Grilling Team. Entries to the contest must be submitted by 5 p.m. PST, August 18, 2007.

Based on creativity/originality, appropriateness to the theme, and clarity of expression, 20 contestants will be selected as semi-finalist winners to represent their Latin-American country of origin or descent, and the top five finalists will have their video grilling demonstrations posted online at http://www.ondalatinaweber.com for all consumers to vote and select the grand prize winner.

The grand prize winner will receive two round-trip airline tickets (value of $3,000) to a selected destination in Latin-America, a professional grilling class, and will appear in Weber’s next media publicity campaign. The top 20 semi-finalists will receive a Weber? Q(TM) 220 portable gas grill and accessory packet valued at approximately $500.
