Univision 23 Wins 2003 Gabriel Award.

Univision (WLTV 23 / Miami) has received a 2003 Gabriel Award from the Catholic Academy for Communication Arts Professionals for its program “La Infancia y el Aprendizaje, Part II” (Childhood and Learning, Part II), in the
“News/Informational National TV Release” category.

Produced as part of Univision’s Education Initiative, “La Infancia y el Aprendizaje” interviews educators and various experts, who discuss the importance of the interaction between parent and child during the first six years of life, and how this interaction will formulate the child’s intellectual development. Part I of the series covers learning skills and development from birth to age three, while Part II, targeting kids in preschool, discusses learning capacity and shows how
parents can enhance these learning skills from ages three to six.

Like its biblical angel namesake, who used a trumpet to announce messages from God, the Gabriel Awards were created to trumpet the best in artistic, creative and inspirational media presentations, and to exert a positive effect on the radio, television, and film industry. The Catholic Academy for Communication Arts Professionals, a national network of broadcasters, communication directors, independent producers, syndicators, and public relations, Internet, and other media professionals, and is the U.S. affiliate of SIGNIS, the international Vatican-approved organization for communication.
