Univision 33 – Phoenix Tops In A18-34.

May 2002 Nielsen reports (NSI) show Univision 33 as the Number One Station, Sign On to Sign Off, Monday through Sunday, among Adults 18-34, Men 18-34 and Women 18-34.With incredible growth in every time fringe, from morning to Prime Time, and rocketing ratings in National and Local News, Univision 33 is the solid favorite station of Arizonans 18 to 34.

For 4 consecutive ratings periods, Noticias UnivisionN 33 has been the leading 5PM newscast in ANY LANGUAGE in Phoenix among Adults 18-34. During May 2002, Noticias Univision 33 delivered more Adults 18-49 in NSI than FOX 10 News at 5, Seventh Heaven, Blind Date, News15 at 5 or TV5 News at 5.

The 6 time Emmy award winning Noticias Univision 33 has a strong focus on serving the Hispanic community, and recently established new segments of information on immigration laws and processes, social security, healthcare and consulate services. More recently, in July 2002, the 5PM edition of Noticias Univision 33, catapulted to its highest ratings ever, reaching the number One position in any language, among the fastest growing audience demo in the state !.

Nielsen reports an increase of 78% in all day Household viewership from July 2001 to July 2002. Univision 33 captured the all-time highest HH ratings ever. Univision 33 also provides their clients a 67% exclusive audience, who does not watch English language TV.

Another important part of the success of the station is the Prime Time soap opera “Salome”, that has been the most watched soap opera among Hispanics in Arizona. Nielsen Hispanic (NHSI) reports that “Salome” reached a record share of 95% of the Spanish TV Hispanic viewers in Arizona in May.
