Univision and Eventus announced the 2012 Premios Juventud VIP Tour.

Univision and Eventus announce the 2012 Premios Juventud VIP Tour (PJ VIP Tour) presented by Dr Pepper, a series of private concerts featuring performances by today’s hottest artists, including past and present “Premios Juventud” nominees and winners. Leading up to Univision Network’s youth awards show, PJ VIP Tour will make stops in Miami, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Houston.

“Univision is thrilled to bring the excitement of Premios Juventud to our fans’ hometowns,” said Luis Fernandez, president of Entertainment and Univision Studios. “The PJ VIP Tour extends our commitment to bring Hispanics the content they crave, regardless of the platform.”

PJ VIP Tour presented by Dr Pepper launches in Miami on Thursday, June 7th with an exclusive performance by GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winning salsa star Luis Enrique. Next up, PJ VIP Tour will roll into New York on June 14th for a show featuring reggaeton sensation Plan B and Dominican rap star Sensato; then on to Chicago on June 21st turning up the heat with regional Mexican music superstar Larry Hernandez; next the tour hits Los Angeles on June 28th with one of the hottest groups in today’s music, 3Ball MTY; and wraps up in Houston on July 5th with salsa heartthrob Jerry Rivera.

Since its debut in 2004, the “Premios Juventud” youth awards ceremony has set ratings ablaze. Last year, the live broadcast of the awards show helped Univision rank No. 1, regardless of language, among all demographics, surpassing viewership of all other major broadcast networks. The 2012 show will air live on Univision Network on Thursday, July 19th, at 7 PM ET/6 PM CT.
