Univision announces line-up for 2015 Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina

The Univision Network revealed the final line-up for America’s longest running and most popular Latin music award show, “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina” (Lo Nuestro Latin Music Award).
 
Mexican Regional music band, Calibre 50; Mexican pop group, Camila; Latin music’s leading new Urban star, J Balvin; Colombian music superstar Juanes, performing his new single “Juntos;” tropical music legend Juan Luis Guerra will perform his hit “Tus Besos;” Maná, returning to the stage after more than four year absence to premiere their highly anticipated single “Mi Verdad” featuring Shakira; international superstar Marco Antonio Solís, who this year has five nominations in the Pop category; first time nominee Pablo Alborán with his hit “Por Fin;” urban sensation Sean Paul; Thalía, who will take the stage with Becky G debuting “Como Tú No Hay Dos;” salsa sensation Victor Manuelle, performing “Que Suenen los Tambores” and nominated for “Artista Salsa del Año” in the tropical category; and Wisin, nominated for the first time as a soloist, will join the previously announced line-up of artists.
 
The “Premio a la Trayectoria Musical,” which honors artists with a rich and successful career, will go to Laura Pausini for more than 20 years in the music industry.
 
Not only will superstar entertainment be in full force, but this year’s Carpet will also play host to live performances from Colombia’s urban star J Balvin, and “Va Por Ti” first runner-up Fernando Corona, as well as a special surprise Univision announcement.  In addition, there will be a special performance introduction from “La Banda” executive producer Simon Cowell.
 
Previously announced artists include Chiquis, who is nominated for the first time in the Regional Mexican Female Artist of the Year category; talented urban artist Farruko, who will perform his super hit “Passion Wine” featuring  Sean Paul and Wisin; “Bachata King” Romeo Santos, debuting his single “Yo También” featuring salsa phenomenon Marc Anthony, who will also sing his headline-grabbing “Flor Pálida”; Ricky Martin, with a world premiere performance of his new single, “Disparo al Corazón,” from his highly anticipated new album “A Quien Quiera Escuchar;” Gerardo Ortiz, who has six nominations; Prince Royce, unveiling a special Spanglish version of his crossover hit song “Stuck on a Feeling;” as well as “Mr. Worldwide,” Pitbull who will hit the stage with the opening act alongside new sensation Gente de Zona.
 
As previously announced, Ricardo Arjona will be presented with the prestigious “Premio a la Excelencia” award, which honors artists for their impressive careers and contributions to Latin music.

In addition, this year “Premio Lo Nuestro” will pay tribute to the late great comedic genius Roberto Gómez Bolaños, better known as Chespirito. Prior to the show, fans are invited to upload a pic with the hashtag #ChespiritoFueUnBuenHombre on their favorite social media platform for the opportunity to be featured live on-air along with talent who will be part of this special acknowledgement.

“Premio Lo Nuestro,” the longest-running, most popular celebration of Latin music in the U.S., will be hosted by the popular TV personality Galilea Montijo and actor Cristián de la Fuente, and will air on the Univision Network LIVE from Miami’s American Airlines Arena on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT). Beginning at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. CT), “Noche de Estrellas” (Night of Stars), a LIVE pre-show special, will offer viewers exclusive coverage of every exciting moment of celebrity arrivals on the red carpet.  The beloved Chiquinquirá Delgado, along with Univision’s Tony Dandrades, Raúl de Molina, and Rodner Figueroa, will serve as hosts on the carpet.  In addition, Mexican singer and actress Maite Perroni will join the Univision team as a carpet and social media host during the ceremony.
 
The awards are bestowed each year to recognize excellence in four musical genres within the Latin music industry: Pop, Tropical, Regional Mexican, and Urban. All winners are determined by fans through votes cast on PremioLoNuestro.com.  The show’s dedicated website provides a comprehensive online experience for fans, with a variety of digital offerings.
