Univision becomes exclusive U.S. Licensing Agent for Club América.

Univision Enterprises, a division of Univision Communications Inc., announced it has signed an exclusive agreement to represent Club América in the United States.
“One of the most passionately followed teams, Club América evokes both love and hate from soccer fans. This deal will provide our audience the best products featuring Club América,” said Juan Carlos Rodriguez, president of Univision Deportes.
“We are delighted to extend the Club América brand and bring sports fans across the country an array of products showcasing their beloved soccer team,” said Mauricio Culebro Galvan, director of Operations, Club América.
“Building on the successes of our current branded products, this new offering extends Unvision’s already deep relationship with Hispanic consumers,” said Francisco Arenas, vice president, Consumer Products, Univision Communications Inc. “This representation deal will directly serve our consumers through the appreciation of one of the world’s favorite soccer teams and will give fans the opportunity to find their favorite Club América products at retail.”
In a new licensing representation agreement with Club América, Univision will represent the Liga MX soccer team Club América across multiple product categories. The agreement with Club América gives Univision exclusive rights to license the team’s merchandise in the U.S. beginning January 2013.
