Univision Chicago launches HD newscasts.

Univision Communications announced that WGBO Univision Chicago launched its newscasts in high definition (HD) coupled with a new set.
 
“We are pleased to kick off the year with a brand new set for our local news,” said Carlos San Jose, senior vice president and general manager, Univision Chicago. “To complement the regular programming we already offer in HD, these efforts are part of our ongoing commitment to deliver quality news and programming to Chicago’s fastest growing community.” 
 
“It is important for our station to remain ahead of the curve when it comes to reporting news to our viewers,” states Marisol Seda, News director at WGBO. “With this new set, our HD capabilities and our incredibly talented news staff, we are able to achieve this on a daily basis.”
