Univision Deportes to Bring Fanáticos the Inaugural UEFA Nations League Competition

Univision Deportes will deliver every match of the first-ever UEFA Nations League competition across its robust portfolio of linear and digital platforms. Featuring the national teams of all 55 members of the European soccer body, valuable spots in Euro 2020 will be on the line in the 2018-19 UEFA Nations League, along with bragging rights and a highly coveted new trophy.

Beginning this month, Univision Deportes will bring fanáticos best-in-class, live Spanish-language coverage of all 142 matches from the inaugural UEFA Nations League, with more than 30 matches airing on linear networks Univision Deportes Network (UDN), UniMás and Univision. Every match from the competition will be available live online at UnivisionDeportes.com and the Univision Deportes app.

UEFA Nations League action kicks off September 6, with Univision Deportes bringing fanáticos live coverage of a titanic clash between the past two FIFA World Cup Champions, France and Germany, on UniMás and UDN. The league phase continues across Univision Deportes throughout September, October and November 2018, and will determine which four teams qualify for the single-elimination Semifinals in June 2019. The Nations League format also includes a system of promotion and relegation between the four tiers of the competition.

The UEFA Nations League Final on June 9, 2019, will air on the flagship Univision network, with simulcast coverage on UDN. Coverage of the UEFA Nations League Semifinals on June 6 and the Third Place match on June 9 will be available on UniMás and UDN.

Univision Deportes’ coverage of UEFA competitions will feature a notable team of sportscasters, including UEFA Champions League winner and Ballon D’or 1994 Hristo Stoichkov; legendary Real Madrid and Inter de Milan striker Iván Zamorano; and iconic UEFA Champions League commentators Luis Omar Tapia and Diego Balado. Recent additions to the Univision Deportes team, including Tony Cherchi, Marc Crosas and Lucía Villalon, will also contribute to coverage of UEFA events.
