Univision FIFA World Cup 2006 Song ¡Arriba, Arriba! @ New Year’s Eve Celebration.

For the first time ever, the Univision Television Network has been invited to premiere the song especially created for its FIFA World Cup 2006™ broadcast coverage, “¡Arriba, Arriba!,” (Higher, Higher) on New Year’s Eve. Univision Music Group’s top Latin recording artists, Ana Bárbara, Pablo Montero, Mariana Seoane and Anaís, will perform live in front of over 1 million revelers, and hundreds of millions watching the worldwide broadcast during the New Year’s Eve celebration in New York’s Times Square just before the world famous midnight ball drop.
The premiere of “¡Arriba, Arriba!” will take place from 11:49 pm -11:54 pm ET on December 31, just before the appearance of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who will take the stage to declare the arrival of the New Year. The event will be broadcast live on the Univision Television Network in this country and worldwide to audiences around the globe and is expected to reach over 222,000,000 viewers in the U.S. alone.
The performance is sure to be one of the highlights of the network’s 3-1/2 hour live “Feliz 2006” (Happy 2006) telecast hosted by “Sábado Gigante’s” legendary Don Francisco and featuring such Latin superstars as Daddy Yankee, Luis Fonsi, Reyli, up-and-coming reggaetón artists Angel y Khris, Wisin y Yandel, and regional Mexican group Los Horóscopos de Durango.
“¡Arriba, Arriba!,” composed for Univision’s coverage of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2006™ soccer tournament that will be broadcast live from Germany, is a rhythmic high-energy song produced by GRAMMY® award winning Sergio George, and written by both Sergio George and renowned composer Jorge Luis Piloto.

Pablo has performed to sold-out audiences in the U.S., Mexico, Central and South America. Currently, he is promoting his seventh album (and debut recording on Univision Records), entitled “A Toda Ley.”
Affectionately regarded as “La Niña Buena” (The Good Girl) of international cumbia, Mariana Seoane took the Latin music industry by storm with her vibrant personality, beauty and innate talent. Mariana instantly became one of the top-selling Latin female recording artists, thanks to her debut album on Univision Records “Seré Una Niña Buena” that earned her a RIAA Latin Gold certification. In addition, as a television actress, she has earned widespread success for her roles in top international novelas. Currently, Mariana is arduously promoting her second album “La Niña Buena.”
The winner of the popular talent competition “Objetivo Fama 2005,” (Objective: Fame 2005) which aired on Univision’s sister network TeleFutura, Anaís is undoubtedly a talented and gifted singer. She captured the hearts of many with her strikingly exotic looks and incredible voice that demands to be heard. The 21-year-old Bronx, New York native whose roots hail from the Dominican Republic, will release her debut album “Así Soy Yo” on Fonovisa Records this coming February.
