About the Spectrum Clearing Alliance

The Spectrum Clearing Alliance was formed to promote and facilitate the clearing of the upper portion of the 700 MHz spectrum band scheduled to be auctioned off on June 19, 2002. The Alliance’s goal is to clear the spectrum in a manner that will be most beneficial for an orderly FCC auction of this spectrum and will advance the public’s access to next generation telecommunications services, for public safety operators and to the television broadcasters involved. Broadcasters engaged in this effort are licensed to operate in analog or digital on channels 59-69. For more information contact, Seth Grossman at 561/659-4122.
