Univision launches AutoAmigo auto buying program.

Univision Communications Inc and GroupCars have announced they will launch AutoAmigo, powered by Univision.
“Univision’s partnership with AutoAmigo will provide automotive dealers across the country with a turn-key solution to reach Hispanic consumers, a step that will increase revenue and market share,” said Rick Alessandri, executive vice president of Enterprise Development, Univision Communications Inc. “AutoAmigo dealerships will have an automatic advantage over the competition as Univision has built and nurtured an extremely close relationship with the exponentially expanding Hispanic community for over 50 years. Hispanics will also reap benefits, as the program educates and informs, providing consumers with a transparent and hassle-free experience to car buying. ”
Although most automotive dealerships understand the opportunities in reaching Hispanic consumers, the challenges associated with marketing to Spanish-language consumers often prevent them from fully capitalizing on the opportunity. To address challenges and capitalize on the opportunity, the AutoAmigo program uses Univision’s multiplatform assets to promote the buying program. Audiences will be encouraged to go to AutoAmigo.com  and or download the mobile app on their Smartphones to research and shop for cars. Users will then be directed to a Spanish-language call center where they are welcomed by a message from Don Francisco, host of Univision Network’s variety program “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) and be connected to an automotive expert who gathers information about their current and desired vehicle, gets users preapproved when possible, and schedules an appointment with a certified AutoAmigo dealership.
Users can then visit a certified dealership where the dealership’s program manager uses AutoAmigo’s mobile app to scan the manufacturer’s window sticker to provide the customer with the retail price, the average market price, and the AutoAmigo price that is set by the dealer.
