Univision News To Broadcast From San Antonio, Denver, LA, New Jersey & San Diego.

Univision’s Noticiero Univision (Univision News) and Noticiero Univision Ultima Hora (Univision News Final Hour) will broadcast from major U.S. cities in the month of November to report issues of special concern to Hispanics. Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas, anchors for Noticiero Univision, seen weekdays on Univision Network from 6:30 pm to 7 pm ET/PT (5:30 pm to 6 pm Central/Mountain Time), will visit San Antonio on November 8, Denver on November 11, Los Angeles on November 14 and 15, New Jersey on November 18 and San Diego on November 21 and 22. Enrique Gratas, anchor for Noticiero Univision Ultima Hora, seen weekdays from 11:30 pm to 12 am ET/PT (10:30 pm to 11 pm Central /Mountain Time), will present the newscast from Los Angeles on November 14 and 15.
San Antonio, Texas: Noticiero Univision with Jorge Ramos will originate from San Antonio, one of the oldest and most Hispanic cities in the U.S., on Friday, November 8, and report on the city’s deep-rooted Mexican culture and its passionate commitment to embrace and maintain the Spanish language despite the difficulties and hardships of assimilation.
Denver, Colorado: Noticiero Univision will originate from Denver on November 11, where Ramos will introduce a special report on Denver’s Hispanic population and its fast growing professional sector.
Los Angeles, California: Both Noticiero Univision and Noticiero Univision Ultima Hora will be broadcast from Los Angeles on November 14 and 15. Maria Elena Salinas and Enrique Gratas will participate in the 40th Anniversary of Univision’s Los Angeles TV station, KMEX Channel 34, on November 14. In addition, Salinas will co-anchor portions of Aqui y Ahora (Here and Now), seen on Univision Network on Thursdays from 10 pm to 11 pm ET/PT (9 pm to 10pm Central/Mountain Time), from Los Angeles on November 14. On Noticiero Univision Ultima Hora, Gratas will report on Los Angeles’ healthcare crisis that has left many Hispanics without medical insurance. He will also report on the growing dangers of the Los Angeles highway system and how Los Angeles police, who patrol America’s car chase capital, are working to make car chases less dangerous to the general public.
New Jersey: Noticiero Univision with Jorge Ramos will originate from New Jersey on November 18. New Jersey has one of the largest Hispanic populations in the U.S. Ramos will report on the growing influence and importance of its Hispanic communities, which are often overshadowed by adjacent New York City.
San Diego, California: Noticiero Univision will be broadcast on November 21 and 22 from San Diego, a city only a few miles from the Mexican border. There Maria Elena Salinas will present a special two-part report on HMOs’ continuing efforts to cut costs and how Mexicans with U.S. HMOs are able to seek healthcare in Mexico where services are cheaper.
