Univision Online Grows Advertisers List.

Univision Communications Inc. announced that its Internet subsidiary, Univision Online, Inc., added 70 new advertisers to its client roster, increasing its advertising revenues by 92% and bringing the total number of advertisers reaching Hispanics on Univision.com in 2002 to more than 100. The surge in advertising seen by Univision Online and top general market websites in 2002 is the result of advertisers embracing the Internet’s unique capability to deliver targeted branding and direct response to a captive audience.

Usage of Spanish-language websites has grown dramatically, including Univision.com’s 76% traffic increase in 2002. Nearly three out of five Hispanics with home Internet access now go online daily. Online Hispanics spend an average of 46% less time using other Spanish-language media, e.g. print, than other Hispanics. With the continued expansion of Hispanic Internet usage, online is becoming a mainstay in marketers’ media plans, and Univision Online is becoming the partner of choice for advertisers wanting to reach an engaged Hispanic audience.
