Univision tlnovelas premiers Quinceañera.

Univision tlnovelas Network is kicking off the new year with a huge bang—by premiering one of the most widely popular novelas of the past 25 years: “Quinceañera” (Sweet Fifteen). This will mark the first time that the blockbuster novela is rebroadcast anywhere since 1990.
 
Created by renowned producer Carla Estrada, “Quinceañera” centers around Maricruz (Adela Noriega) and Beatriz (Thalía), two best friends who are about to turn 15. Even though Maricruz comes from a humble background and Beatriz from a wealthy family, their social differences have never gotten in the way of their profound friendship. As they prepare to celebrate their quinces, the girls fall in love for the first time—Maricruz with Pancho (Ernesto Laguardia), a good-hearted mechanic who is rejected by her ambitious mother, who would rather see her marry someone rich; and Beatriz with Maricruz’s brother, Gerardo (Rafael Rojas), a drug addict. While dealing with many conflicts faced by teenagers everywhere, Maricruz and Beatriz discover that the transition into adulthood is not as simple or carefree as they expected.
