Univision to debut “Ellas Soy Yo: Gloria Trevi,” bioseries

Univision announced that the bioseries Ellas Soy Yo: Gloria Trevi is set for its U.S. premiere on July 31 at 10 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. CT. This original and exclusive TelevisaUnivision production had a successful premiere on streaming service ViX and set a record on Las Estrellas in Mexico. The series portrays crucial stages in the life of the Mexican composer and singer Gloria Trevi and stars Scarlet Gruber, known for her previous role as the main antagonist in the popular Univision telenovela “Si Nos Dejan.”

Produced by Carla Estrada, Ellas Soy Yo: Gloria Trevi presents the life of Gloria de los Ángeles Treviño Ruíz. At only fifteen years old, she travels from Monterrey to Mexico City to participate in a television contest aimed at finding a double for a famous young actress. Determined to become a star, Gloria encounters a man twice her age who initially mentors her, but then becomes her predator. For 17 years, he subjects her to a harrowing journey, where despite achieving success and fame, Gloria loses everything. Her journey becomes a testament to resilience as she strives to rebuild her life and career. “Ellas Soy Yo: Gloria Trevi” demonstrates a true and incredible story of courage, perseverance and faith.

Currently, Gloria Trevi is set to kick off the second leg of her U.S. tour “Mi Soundtrack World Tour”, which is scheduled to end on September 27 at the PAYNE Arena in Hidalgo, TX. The Hidalgo show will mark the end of Trevi’s North American tour, which is set to kick off August 30 in Denver, CO. Without a doubt, it has been a masterful year for Gloria Trevi, who was recognized as one of the few Latin female performers with the greatest impact on ticket sales in 2024, sharing the space with iconic artists such as Madonna and Beyoncé.
