Univision.com & Home Depot launch ‘Handyman al rescate’.

Univision Online, Inc. announced an innovative partnership with The Home Depot, Inc. the world’s largest home improvement retailer. As part of the partnership, Univision Online and The Home Depot launched a new web show called “Handyman Al Rescate.” The show includes six minute webisodes with easy to follow instructions and advice on how to accomplish a remodeling or repair project, and leverages content from The Home Depot’s existing in-store clinics.

Univision.com (keyword: Handyman Al Rescate) has developed a microsite that features video streaming of each webisode, expert tips and photo galleries. The six webisodes focus on different topics and will include expert advice from skilled professionals in each field:

“Renueva tu Patio”(Renovate your patio)
“Técnicas para Pintar” (Painting techniques)
“Organiza tu Garaje” (Organize your garage)
“Transforma tu Baño” (Transform your bathroom)
“Una Casa Más Eficiente” (A more organized house)
“Embellece tu Jardin” (Beautify your garden)

“Univision.com is committed to partnering with industry leaders like The Home Depot,” said Cesar Conde, executive vice president and chief strategy officer. “Our goal is to deliver innovative content that addresses the interests of our audience, and ‘Handyman Al Rescate’ delivers on both fronts.”

“‘Handyman Al Rescate’ is the first of its kind for Univision Online and enables The Home Depot to reinforce its dedication to providing consumers with know-how on this leading website,” says Lyne Castonguay, vice president of multicultural merchandising and marketing for The Home Depot. “This partnership allows us to provide Hispanic ‘do-it-yourselfers’ with the know-how needed to help them convert their house into a home with confidence.”
