Univision’s Nuestra Navidad.

Making dreams come true this holiday season, Univision, Target and Emilio Estefan Productions present “Nuestra Navidad Presentado por Target” (Our Christmas Presented by Target). The annual holiday music special features performances and appearances by some of Hispanic America’s most beloved Latin artists and underscores the importance of giving back and helping others. Hosted by Univision personalities Lili Estefan, co-host of “El Gordo y La Flaca” (The Scoop and the Skinny); and Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo, host of Univision Radio’s “Piolin for la Mañana,” the special will air Sunday, December 12, at 7 pm EST/PST (6 pm CST) on the Univision Network.
 
From the young boy who wishes that his hardworking single mother could feel like Cinderella, to the family that longs for a Christmas in Mexico, and the 15-year old boy – a recovering patient from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – who wishes to meet NBA star LeBron James, “Nuestra Navidad Presentado por Target” will follow the stories of these families.

This year, ‘Nuestra Navidad’ features not only extraordinary musical performances but highlights four heartfelt stories that truly demonstrate that wishes and dreams can become a reality,” said Emilio Estefan. “From a patient at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital whose dream was to meet LeBron James of the Miami Heat to a family whose wish was to spend Christmas back in Mexico with their family, we’ve made these dreams come true! ‘Nuestra Navidad’ leaves you with an incredible feeling of hope, joy and a musical celebration that is perfect for the holiday season.”

The special, in partnership with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, will also highlight the importance of education and inspire viewers to help students achieve their highest educational goals through the story of Alejandro Gonzalez — a 19-year old student at Georgetown University and a 2010-2011 Hispanic Scholarship Fund/Target Scholarship recipient.
 
“Nuestra Navidad Presentado por Target” will also feature appearances and performances by a variety of Latino superstars. Mexican band Banda Los Recoditos will open with the show’s theme song. Latin GRAMMY-nominated artist Cristian Castro, whose dream was always to sing with his mentor and icon, will be granted his wish when “El Príncipe de la Canción” (The Prince of the Song) José José sings a duet with him. Other artists include Puerto Rico’s Latin GRAMMY-winning artist Olga Tañon with Samo of the Latin GRAMMY® award-winning group Camila; Spanish singing sensation Natalia Jiménez; and the legendary Vicente Fernández. The special will also feature guest appearances by Emilio Estefan, and NBA Miami Heat Stars LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
