Urban Latino TV Gets 2nd Year Renewal.

Urban Latino TV (ULTV), a weekly syndicated program targeting the young, U.S. Latino market in English, announced that the weekly ½ hour culture and lifestyle series was renewed by WCBS-TV in New York, the nation’s largest TV market.

“We are proud of the progress that Urban Latino has made in its first year, and look forward to an even more exciting second year. We have received positive feedback from our viewing and advertising community supporting the program, and see strong upside potential for the program” said Michael J. Michell, Director of Programming, Research and Development at WCBS.

“The WCBS clearance is very important. It proves that not only can programming for Latinos in English survive, it can thrive if properly produced and promoted,” states Robert Rose, President of Artist and Idea Management, Distributor and Executive Producer for the series. “The advertiser and station support in our first year was encouraging. The show’s second season is a testament to the fact that when it comes to reaching the nation’s over 35 million Latinos, it’s not about language but cultural relevance,” Rose continues.
