Urban Latino TV Targeting 33 Million Homes.

Urban Latino TV announced that the weekly ½ hour program recently secured additional broadcast carriage in seven new markets and announced key upgrades in an additional six markets.

The new carriage agreements include Hartford-New Haven, CT (WCTX-UPN), Seattle-Tacoma, WA (KBCB-Ind), Laredo, TX (KVTV-CBS), Yakima, WA (KAPP-ABC), Kansas City, MO (KCWE-UPN), Honolulu, HA (KIKU-Ind) and Sioux City, IA (KTIV-NBC). As a result of the new clearances, which are effective January 2003, ULTV surpasses 76% coverage of Hispanic homes with over 7.4 million Hispanic Homes with almost 34 million total homes able to view the program.

Additionally, ULTV announced time period and station upgrades in six key Hispanic markets including New York (WCBS-CBS), Chicago (WBBM-CBS), San Antonio (WOAI-NBC), Dallas (KTXA-UPN / KTVT-CBS), Sacramento (KQCA-WB) and Austin (KXAN-WB).

“After just a few weeks on the air nationally, we’re very excited in the vote of confidence extended by our current affiliates with upgrades in six very large Hispanic markets insuring the show will be seen by more people.” states Robert Rose of Artist and Idea Management, Packager, Executive Producer and Distributor for the series.

“Also, we are extremely happy to be expanding the reach and influence of ULTV to an additional 4.3 Million homes represented by our new clearances in January. ULTV’s carriage far surpasses the distribution of the largest Spanish language cable and digital cable networks and even many English language, general market cable networks. Because we’re broadcast over the air, the traditional Hispanic lag in cable subscription not only doesn’t harm but actually helps our viewership.” Rose continues.
