US Latino economy worth $2.8T

U.S. Latinos’ total economic output eclipsed the GDPs of the U.K. and India in 2020, hitting $2.8 trillion, an increase of 65% since 2010. According to a report from the Latino Donor Collaborative, the economic output of Latinos grew even as the coronavirus pandemic disproportionately affected the community. This was partly thanks to growth in job markets in which Latino workers are overrepresented, such as hospitality. Additionally, the report showed the Latino consumption market grew to $1.84 trillion in 2020, exceeding the economies of Canada and South Korea.
