USHCC Foundation & Sprint Launch Scholarship Program.

The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Foundation announced the launch of the “Latinos in Telecommunications” scholarship program funded by Sprint.

Sprint has contributed $50,000 to the USHCC Foundation for scholarships to Latino students residing in the metropolitan areas of Dallas/Fort Worth, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Orlando, who are pursuing undergraduate studies in the areas of Information Technology, Engineering, Marketing, Finance and Business Administration.

“Sprint has been a strong supporter of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation and its youth entrepreneurship activities,” said David Thomas, chief diversity officer – Sprint.

“Through this scholarship program, Sprint is proud to support Latino students by encouraging them to pursue their academic and professional dreams while helping to prepare them for successful entrance into the economic mainstay of our society.”

Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,500.00 per award. This is one of many new scholarship programs that the USHCC Foundation is undertaking with various corporate partners to strengthen the future workforce and small business community of America.
